Counseling Available for Caregivers Caregivers are often in a position where they must provide essential support for the needs of loved ones…many times a stressful and frustrating role to assume. During this period caregivers may struggle to resolve their feelings of depression, guilt or inadequacy while attempting to meet their own personal needs. Professional counselors at the Counseling & Education Center help caregivers identify and hone the skills they need to balance the many demanding tasks care-giving may mandate. It is not uncommon for caregivers to occasionally feel anger or frustration, and then experience anxiety or guilt as a result. Confiding in someone about these emotions often helps to head off these feelings. The counselors who comprise the counseling staff at CEC all hold Masters Degrees in Counseling or Social Work and are available varying hours, thus accommodating clients’ schedules. CEC has no eligibility requirements and our sliding fee scale allows us to provide services to individuals of all income levels. Insurances we take at CEC are: TRI-CARE (military insurance), CNIC, State Medicaid, CHP (Rocky Mountain Medicaid), Rocky Mountain Medicare, and Great West “Value Options” rider. Blue Cross/Blue Shield will reimburse the client. Please contact Colleen at CEC for further information and to schedule an appointment: 243-9539 during office hours: Monday-Thursday, 8:15-5:30, and Friday, 9:00-12:00 noon.
