Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)

SAMHSA  leads public health efforts to advance the behavioral health of the nation. SAMHSA’s mission is to reduce the impact of substance abuse and mental illness on America’s communities.

National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH)

NIMH is a federal agency for research on mental disorders. NIMH is one of the 27 Institutes and Centers that make up the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Government Mental Health is a government source providing information on the basics of mental health, resources for identifying signs and symptoms of mental health disorders, ways to advocate and discuss mental health, and references on where to get help.

Crisis Resources:

The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline is a national network of local crisis centers that provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24 hours a day, 7 days a week in the United States.
