New Orchard Mesa Location Coming Fall 2024

CEC’s second location will bring much needed professional, affordable, and accessible mental health counseling to Orchard Mesa.

Donate today and help us make mental health counseling more accessible

Through the purchase and renovation of a beautiful historic building 2702 B 1/2 Road, CEC will be able to better meet the growing behavioral health needs of our community. Our second location will enable CEC to provide an additional 300 clients with 3,000 hours of counseling annually by 2026–a doubling of our current services. We will also be able to expand our no-cost internship program for counseling and social work students looking to enter the behavioral health profession, from 4 interns annually to 10.

This new location will offer many community benefits:

10 trauma-informed therapy rooms, including 2 play therapy rooms for children
Increased physical capacity to serve more clients and host 6 additional counseling interns each year
Proximity to Dios Rios Elementary School, New Emerson School, Orchard Mesa Middle School, and Eagle View Learning Center
Located along the Grand Valley Transit route
Makes counseling more convenient for people living south of Grand Junction, in Whitewater and even Delta.

Cash and in-kind donations to CEC’s Orchard Mesa Expansion Project are eligible for the Colorado Enterprise Zone Contribution Tax Credit. This means that cash donations of $50 or more may be eligible for a 25% tax credit on the donor’s Colorado State Income Tax Return, and in-kind gifts valued at $100 or above may be eligible for a 12.5% tax credit.
