I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 35 years of experience in human services and counseling. I earned my Master’s degree in Community Counseling from Adams State University and have worked with adults, adolescents, children, and families throughout my career.
Earlier in my professional journey, I served as an elementary school counselor, an experience that continues to influence how I approach my work today. I believe strongly in meeting clients where they are, with acceptance, respect, and humility.
My therapeutic approach is eclectic to meet the individual needs of my clients. I create an environment where clients feel safe to explore their experiences and work toward their goals. I draw from Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, EMDR, play therapy, and brief solution-focused therapy to meet each individual’s needs.
I am especially passionate about working with individuals who have experienced trauma and helping facilitate healing so they can experience positive changes in their lives. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel empowered to move forward.
