Experience:
  1. Motivation: I have wanted to do this work since I was in the eighth grade after taking a psychology class.  It seemed so valuable to me to be able to aid people in finding their own ways to heal their pain.
  2. The Experience: My approach to therapy is finding that client-centered place of listening to individual stories and seeing each person as their own individual self.  Of most importance is providing trauma-informed interventions and building rapport based on each individual’s experiences. Empathy and validation are the keys for me.
  3. The Details: I am a licensed clinical social worker who has 31 years of extensive experience working with persons who have been through traumatic events and are still re-experiencing the traumas.
  4. Specialties: My love is working to heal these memories by use of EMDR, ego state therapy, and/or prolonged exposure therapy.
