Credentials: Intern Therapist
Experience:
  1. Motivation: I am drawn to this work to help guide others through their own personal darkness, back to the light, and I believe my own lived experience helps me serve as a compassionate guide. I first found this profession as a postpartum doula and discovered I am fueled by a desire to create a healing space that feels authentic and tailored to each person. I remain in this field out of the joy of seeing people’s lives improve and my lifelong love of learning.
  2. Experience: I approach therapy grounded in strengths-based, person-centered, attachment, and parts work perspectives. I value deep active listening, empathy, and validation to work collaboratively toward your health goals. Some of my favorite tools include neuroeducation, CBT, parts work, mindfulness, somatic awareness, and narrative therapy.
  3. Details: I am close to completing my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Adams State University, and I am currently training under licensed supervision. My background includes practicum and internship experience in a local community mental health setting, working with diverse clients of all ages who are navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. My professional and lived experiences inform my genuine empathetic connection and care for my clients.
  4. Specialties: The work I enjoy doing the most with my clients is parts work. Having experience and training in both Internal Family Systems and Ego States informs my practice and how I understand my clients’ lived experiences. I find that through helping clients name, befriend, and integrate their various parts, they can lead healthier and more joyful lives.
