Megan also believes that we learn from the world around us, and there is strength and power in communication. Her goals are to provide a safe and authentic space for clients, and to learn and grow from each other.
Experience:
  1. Motivation: I became a therapist to better support the community around us and give individuals the opportunity to grow into the person they want to be. My main motivation for doing this work is to help people reach their goals and learn from their past experiences. I enjoy empowering others through their strengths and unique qualities.
  2. Experience: I have experience working with children, families, emotion exploration, setting boundaries, and trauma. I work with a lot of children, youth, and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma. As a therapist, I believe that empathy, compassion, and advocacy are the most important attributes I can hold as a professional. I have observed that these attributes empower individuals through their personal stories and lived experiences. I also believe that we learn from the world around us, and there is strength and power in communication. My goals and approach as a therapist are to provide a safe, supportive, and authentic space for clients, and to learn and grow.
  3. Details: I received my MSW in Social work from Colorado Mesa University. I am currently under the supervision of Mary MacDonald and LCSW here at CEC. I have 2 years of direct experience working in the therapeutic setting. I also have 5 years of experience working in childcare and within the school district, supporting children and families in various ways.
  4. Specialties: I enjoy working with children, families, and adults. I enjoy the different developmental stages and the unique lived experiences these populations bring to therapy.
