Credentials: LCSW, Clinical Supervisor
Title: Therapist
Works with: Adults
Experience:
I have wanted to do this work since I was in the eighth grade, when I took a psychology class and realized how meaningful it could be to help people find their own way through pain. That early interest turned into a lifelong commitment. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with more than 30 years of experience supporting adults who have experienced trauma.
My work has focused extensively on posttraumatic stress disorder and complex trauma. I have spent much of my career walking alongside individuals who continue to re-experience traumatic events long after they have occurred. I am trained in evidence-based treatments including Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and EMDR. I also incorporate Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Depression, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and STAIR Therapy, which is designed for individuals who experienced abuse in childhood.
My approach is deeply client-centered. I believe each person’s story deserves careful listening and respect. Trauma-informed care, empathy, and validation are central to my work. Building strong rapport allows clients to feel safe enough to process painful memories and begin reshaping how those memories affect their present lives.
I am especially passionate about helping individuals reduce the intensity and impact of traumatic memories through EMDR, ego state therapy, and Prolonged Exposure. My goal is to support adults in reclaiming a sense of control, clarity, and stability as they move forward.
